Dodge Racing general manager Scott Woodhouse announced his impending departure at a press conference today in a shock move as the team geared up for its first ever appearance at the World Championships.
There had been whispers in the racing community above movement in the upper echelons of the Dodge team, but the news that the team principal was stepping aside came as a surprise to many.
Woodhouse thanked the team for its support over the years and stated he was looking to faciliate a smooth handover come the end of the season. There have yet to be any parties linked to the vacant post, but Woodhouse will want to go out with a bang as he confirmed he would be only stepping down after the team's participation in the season opening World Championships in Óbidos, Portugal.
